I have been teaching for over 20 years.  My background is in special education and bilingual education. I have been at Patton Elementary in first grade for over 10 years.  I have also taught bilingual students in Pre-K and fifth grade.  You will learn I love my Barajas Bulldogs! My goal for my classroom  is to create a warm, productive, and definitely not silent place where my students can take risks and discover their strengths!

Hello! I am Lisa Simek. I have been teaching for more than 20 years. My passion is helping young children discover their love for reading. Not to mention I am a bit of a science nerd!  Through the use of various strategies I encourage my students to be collaborative thinkers and problem solvers. I want my students to feel loved and valued  throughout their educational journey in my classroom.
